Honey and derivatives producers have a new option for waterproofing bee boxes, now waterproofed with ecological varnish, to make the protection of hives faster and more practical: Legacy, Waterproofing. Legacy has no toxicity, is biodegradable and leaves the cationic surface, which prevents the proliferation of mites and fungi.
Easy to apply, Legacy today is sold in ready-to-use packaging and 5L and 20L gallons for industrial use. In a performance test carried out at FAASC in Florianópolis, Santa Catarina, we used 30ml to waterproof a 40x35x20 box. The product has a high yield and the Beekeeper gains a lot of time in waterproofing the bees box, as the drying is fast (on average 6 hours). Thus, the Beekeeper can focus his effort only on what is most important: producing quality products.
As it does not contain harmful chemicals, honey remains organic, which is the honey consumed by 95% in the Brazilian market.
