Automotive glazing started, at the end of 2010, to become popular in Brazil. Protecting the car's paint from small scratches, bad weather such as tree sap or bird droppings has become a great advantage. Washing the car less, taking care of the environment, aspect of permanent cleaning, valuation in the resale are some benefits that stand out in the glazing process. There are those who say that vitrification is “self paid”, that is, you pay for the benefit it brings in time savings, chemicals and recovery.

However, the application of an automotive glazing in the painting of a vehicle requires a series and care, which are strictly followed by stores specializing in automotive aesthetics. Some of them such as decontamination of the paint, correction and leveling of the paint. This is important for the vitrifier to have the longest possible durability and above all to protect a beautiful and well-maintained painting.

But what if I don't want to pay for services like this, can I glaze my car?

Yes you can. We developed a product called GT1 Ceramic for anyone to apply without any difficulty. In the same way we wax our cars on weekends. But you need to take some precautions before starting the vitrification process:

  • Never apply glazing over waxes or fats. When applying GT1 Ceramic on a contaminated surface it will not have durability, as the wax will come out taking the ceramic layer away. To do this, wash the car with a degreasing shampoo (we recommend this on here). Apply the IPA before to decontaminate the pores. This will help durability.
  • Wash the part well beforehand: the surface must be clean and dry.
  • If the vehicle has scratches or washing marks, the vitrifier will not hide them. It will actually highlight them because the surface brightness will increase considerably. We recommend making a paint correction with an automotive aesthetic professional.
